Description
We are a cutting-edge, multidisciplinary company developing an innovative technology platform. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Software and Architect to lead the software architecture and execution across our complex, multi-module system. This role will report directly to the VP of R&D and involve leading a talented team at the intersection of chemistry, physics, robotics, sensors, and advanced algorithmics.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Software Architecture: Define, design, and lead the software architecture for a sophisticated, multi-module system, ensuring robustness, scalability, and seamless integration.
System Integration: Anticipate and address potential integration challenges across hardware/software interfaces and across controlled system modules.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage, mentor, and guide a team of approximately 17 engineers, including 3 team leads. Foster an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive design documents for managing software in a multi-tiered system.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, algorithm, and product teams to ensure the system’s technical and functional excellence, driving alignment across disciplines.

Tech Stack:
Backend: Proficiency in C++, Python, and C (for controllers), with a focus on robotic systems development.
Frontend/UI: Angular, primarily used for visualization and control interfaces.
Data Management: Experience working with MongoDB to monitor and analyze sensor logs.
Computational Geometry: Familiarity with computational geometry applications in system design and analysis.
Location: Shfela Region, Israel (On-site position)
