We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our company's Algorithms team. This is a hands-on technical role for an experienced software developer who combines strong mathematical and analytical skills with high-quality software-algorithm engineering capabilities. The candidate will contribute to the research, design, implementation, validation, and deployment of advanced algorithms embedded in diagnostic and interventional cardiology systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ideas from mathematical concepts, feasibility studies, and proof-of-concepts all the way to robust, efficient, maintainable, and production-ready software in C++. This is not a pure research role — we are looking for someone who can both design advanced algorithms and implement them as reliable production software. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Design, develop, implement, and optimize advanced algorithms in areas such as Computer Vision, Computational Geometry, and Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning. • Translate mathematical, geometric, and scientific concepts into efficient, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. • Conduct algorithm research, feasibility studies, proof-of-concept development, benchmarking, and performance evaluations. • Develop high-quality production code in C++14 or later and Python. • Participate in software architecture, design reviews, implementation, testing, validation, and release activities. • Work closely with software engineers, system engineers, researchers, product managers, and clinical/domain experts to deliver innovative medical technology solutions. • Investigate and solve complex technical challenges using data, analysis, experimentation, and sound engineering judgment. • Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and development efficiency. • Document algorithms, assumptions, design decisions, validation methodologies, and performance results. • Contribute to continuous improvement of development methodologies, coding standards, and algorithm development processes.
